Band Car Wash

If you are interested in participating in the car wash, pick up a sheet of tickets to sell in the band room.  Please take one sheet at a time.  Make sure to cut out the tickets.

Some things to remember:
  • Student sells tickets and collects money.  Make sure student's name is on the ticket.
  • 100% of earned money goes directly into their account to pay for band fees.
  • It is the responsibility of band student (or parent) to take earned money to the front office at the high school to deposit.
  • Tell the front office ladies the money is going toward your band fees.
  • All band students should work at the car wash, if available.  The money from any random cars that come in for a wash will be split up among those students who worked that day.
If you have them, please bring to share:
  • Large towels for drying
  • Smaller towels/rags for washing
  • Sponges for washing
  • Buckets
Tell your friends and family!  Everyone could use a car wash!

Parent Meeting Minutes

We had a fantastic turn out for our parent meeting on Wednesday!  The 2018 marching season is going to be amazing!  In case you missed it, here are some things you need to know:

  • All contracts are due now!
    • If your child is at a middle school, they can give it to the band director and they will send it via district mail.  OR you can drop it off at the high school.
  • There are other forms that we handed out that night:
    • Approval for travel to St. George for the State Championships in October
      • Please fill in the appropriate information and turn it in with the contract
    • Instructions for registering for Register My Athlete
      • This is a new (to the band) program that will help to streamline communication and paperwork
      • Due to UHSAA regulations, marching band students are required to have a physical and turn in grades.  You can find the official physical form on Register My Athlete once you've joined.  Then, you turn it all in on Register My Athlete.  Sorry for the misinformation at kick-off!  
      • Every parent of a band student must do this!
    • A new payment schedule
      • The total fee stayed the same, but the payments had to be adjusted a little.
    • Blank contracts are also available in case you didn't get one.
  • Parent polos are now available for pre-sale.  They will be $30 for sizes S-XL, and then $1 more each time you go up in size.  Women's sizes go up to 4XL and men's go up to 6XL.
  • All the paperwork is under the Forms and Information tab at the top of this page.

2017-18 Band Banquet

May 14th @ 6:30 pm is the Band Banquet.  Students who participated in ANY band, percussion, or color guard group during the year may attend.  This year, the band council has opted for a more dressy occasion.  Please wear your best to the dinner.  This is a potluck event.  Here are the food assignments:
  • Woodwinds:  Main dish
  • Brass:  Side dishes
  • Percussion:  Drinks
  • Color Guard:  Desserts
All band leadership will be announced, as well as senior recognition.  Don't miss it!
